Bêvlën-cîqeno Fêqê (/θɪˈmɪqɘ/ /cɪˈqeno/ [awake; conscious] [visitor]) is a temperate Town located in the Nêndënkîte Zone of the Union of Engineers.
The name Bêvlën-cîqeno Fêqê is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Bêvlën-cîqeno Fêqê was founded by Tsili Gadshêyê, who was culturaly Iron Elven.
Climate
Bêvlën-cîqeno Fêqê has a yearly average temperature of 23°C (73°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 30°C (86°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 17°C (62°F). Bêvlën-cîqeno Fêqê receives an average of 255 cm/y (100 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Bêvlën-cîqeno Fêqê covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 3750 m (12303 ft) above sea level.
Overview
Bêvlën-cîqeno Fêqê was founded durring the late 12th century in winter of the year 1079, by Tsili Gadshêyê. The establishment of Bêvlën-cîqeno Fêqê suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.
Bêvlën-cîqeno Fêqê was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Bêvlën-cîqeno Fêqê is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.
Bêvlën-cîqeno Fêqê is buildings are arranged arround a network of narrow packed earth streets which form a diamond shaped grid, where each diamond verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller diamond has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town is the proud owner of a properly designed set of renforced walls made from mighty querried stone blocks. Their construction and material choices would make a dwarf weap with joy, for each and every part of the elaborate fortifications are purly functional and robust well byond reason. Even nonexperts can tell the walls are an excelent defencive structure. The exceptionaly well made fortifications have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.
A look around Bêvlën-cîqeno Fêqê has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scuttling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Maybe it’s all of those things together, or perhaps it's the way these elements combine which makes you worry someone might stab you in a dark ally for your boots. Bêvlën-cîqeno Fêqê's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is famous for its stately symmetry, classical elements, and grand appearance. Columns and pillars, such as Corinthian columns, are often seen supporting open structures or porticos. Symmetry is an important feature of this style, with each half of a building mirroring the other. Domed ceilings and windows grace these buildings, with everything placed in a mathematical arrangement.
